"What I feel with the best of hip-hop music and with the best of what has been produced by hip-hop culture is that it's going to be timeless, and it's going to last."

MASTERING

Once your project is mixed, we can also provide mastering services for a competitive final radio-ready product. The first Golden Rule of digital recording is simple: There’s nothing above 0db. If you're using a basic VU readout to measure average RMS (Root Mean Square) level, 0 on the meter should be referenced to between -7 and -9 dBFS (setting 0 = -6 dBFS or less is almost asking for trouble). If you're checking peak levels, make sure they do not exceed. Masters will be rendered with current LUFS ceilings in mind. ex. Spotify, Tidal, and YouTube, for example, set a ceiling of -14 LUFS.

  • Raises the overall volume level
  • Evens out song levels and EQs individual tracks for cohesion
  • Corrects minor mix deficiencies with equalization
  • Gives your music consistent playback on different sound systems
